Welcome to Number 15
Number 15 is a gallery, community resource and artists' studios in Spennymoor in the north of England. It's a meeting place, a learning place,and a market place for people, arts and literature.
We run courses in arts and crafts, display and sell a wide range of original artwork from artists across the north of England.

The Gallery and Shop
Number Fifteen has a regularly changing display of paintings, photography, sculptures, jewellery and cards by local and not so local artists as well as displays of work by our resident artists.

Hire our Community Room
Our community room is available for hire. It has tables, chairs and free wi-fi and can seat 16 for a meeting, or 12 for a crafts or arts workshop. Contact us for further details

An introduction to printmaking without a press: Mono printing
A new way to create fresh ideas, (using minimal equipment), with a professional and enthusiastic teacher - Jackie Stonehouse.4 weeks starting Tuesday 23rd April 6pm-8pm Cost £46 all materials included
Life Drawing
Beginners and practiced artists alike; develop your drawing skills with artist Jillian Greenwood drawing from a life model.6 weeks starting Monday 22nd April 6pm-8pm - Course Cost £60 all materials included
Wire Jewellery Making
A course suitable for beginners in jewellery or those who want to expand their skills and learn something new with Jewellery Designer/Maker Lindsay Peter. 6 weeks starting Wednesday 24th March 6pm-8pm - Course Cost £68 all materials included.
Ceramics
Learn the basics of hand building ceramics with potter Hugh Penney. 2 sessions over 2 weeks:Saturday 4th May 1pm-4pm, Saturday 11th May - Course Cost £32 all materials included
Painting with Watercolour
Learn various watercolour techniques with professional artist Melanie Barrett MA . Come away with more confidence to create your own stunning watercolours.
4 weeks starting Saturday 4th May 10am-12pm. £73 including your own beginners Watercolour kit full of essentials for you to take away.
Painting with Oil paints
Jillian Greenwood will take you through various different techniques in oil colours. 4 weeks starting Saturday 1st June 10am-12pm - £45 including all materials.

NEW! Hot-Desking Studio Space
Need a desk or a studio for short periods of time and a chance to work and prosper within a creative environment? Number 15 is offering desk and studio space. Membership starts at £30 pm, and includes use of our community room for meetings and free wi-fi. Contact us for further details.
